Expand description

How GREASE values are chosen.

Fresh and seeded GREASE slots of one list get distinct values (a key share must not repeat a group), and the n-th GREASE values of supported_groups and key_share match, as browsers send them. A list holds at most 16 GREASE slots, one per GREASE codepoint; setters reject more.

Variants§

Fresh

Random per connection, as browsers do.

Seeded(u64)

Derived from a seed: reproducible, for tests and pinned variants.

Pinned

Exactly the GREASE codepoints listed, so a relay can mirror its peer. Slots without a listed codepoint stay fresh.
