Introduction
This policy describes how you may use the Rama trademark. Any use of a Rama trademark must follow this policy.
Rama is a registered word trademark of Plabayo BV with the European Union Intellectual Property Office. You can view the registration here: EUIPO record.
At this time there is no Rama logo trademark. This policy applies only to the word mark Rama.
Trademark law protects the public. Uses that confuse users about source or endorsement are not allowed. We must ensure that Rama is used in ways that do not mislead the community.
If you violate this policy or harm the goodwill of the Rama mark, we may require you to stop all use of the trademark.
General Goals
What we encourage
Use the word Rama with minimal restriction to refer to the Rama open source software and community.
What we do not allow
- Use of Rama to refer to unrelated software or services
- Use that implies association, endorsement, or sponsorship by the Rama project or Plabayo BV
- Use that creates confusion about whether Rama is open source and free to use
Uses That Never Require Approval
Nominative use
You may use the word Rama to truthfully refer to the Rama software. This is allowed in both non commercial and commercial contexts when:
- The reference is accurate and necessary to identify Rama
- The use does not suggest endorsement or sponsorship
- The word is not stylized to look like a logo
