Sink that rotates between bucket-named files.

Disk I/O happens on a single background writer thread, so callers never block. Rotation is performed by the writer between lines.

Full constructor.

retention = None keeps rotated files forever. Some(d) sweeps any sibling file whose bucket is older than now - d on every rotation. Sweep granularity is one bucket — retention is rounded down to whole buckets before comparing.

Rotation period.
