Io

Struct Io

pub struct Io<T> { /* private fields */ }
Available on crate feature std only.
Expand description

Asynchronous I/O exposed through blocking std::io traits.

I/O is polled directly through SyncIoBridge and is not a separate dial9-tracked task. Background tasks spawned through a telemetry-aware OwnedRuntimeHandle remain tracked.

Implementations§

§

impl<T> Io<T>
where T: Unpin,

pub fn new(io: T, runtime: Runtime) -> Io<T>

Create a blocking I/O wrapper.

pub fn get_ref(&self) -> &T

Borrow the asynchronous I/O object.

pub fn get_mut(&mut self) -> &mut T

Mutably borrow the asynchronous I/O object.

pub fn runtime(&self) -> &Runtime

Borrow the runtime lease.

pub fn into_parts(self) -> (T, Runtime)

Consume the wrapper and return the asynchronous I/O object and runtime.

pub fn shutdown(&mut self) -> Result<(), Error>
where T: AsyncWrite,

Shut down the asynchronous write side.
